On February 10th 2021 Marlon was invited to speak on platform that is a podcast for BHM to showcase people in the city that have been putting in ground work daily in our under served communities across the city of Toronto. The show is called the "Who & How Club". In February for Black History Month the host of the podcast Aryes had created a segmeant called the "Who & How" spotlight that all episodes are available for listening purpose on spotify. Marlon speaks on a number of various topic's from being a Black Man in his community, being a former gang member, living with diabetes, and also having childen with autism. Where Marlon was given the platform on who he is, where is raised, and the trails and tribulations he went through in order with becoming a communty leader and working in the social field. Marlon assist youth at-risk that faces challeges that he once faced with no where to turn to during that time in his life. He gets in-depth in the conversation with Sir Worthy he doen't hold back!!!

Mon May 27th 2020 a young female by the name of Regis Korchinski-Paquet was involve in and incident that caused her death in the presence of the police at her TCHC home. During the situation involving police officers and Regis in her home, she appearently fell off her own balcony without police handling the situation at hand correctly to have protect Regis.
The Morgridge Foundation Center and people of all race came on out to support the Black/ Indigidous community with support for Mental Health support and the circumstances that possibly lead up to the death of Regis Korchinski-Paquet. The people was making their voices heard about how Mental Health in the Black/ Indigenous community has been sheltered for far to long & now the under served communities are fed up and are demanding answers. |
